Leadership
Leadership is a process where there is a leader, followers and a situation. (Hughes et al,1) The leadership is to achieve the long-term goals for the good of majority targeting guidance, decision making to drive the followers in the right path. Leaders are focused on innovation, development, inspiration, and long-term view, originate, do the right thing and challenge the status quo. (Hughes et al, 39)
Leaders are born and not developed is one of the concepts some agree, though I think leadership is developed through education and experience, giving the leader the qualities of braveness, correct decision-making etc. The personality traits and values are key strengths of leader’s effectiveness. In that understanding I think the effectiveness of a leader is based on the key qualities and personality traits and some are born and inherent while the education and experience strengthens the role. The personal traits and values is formed by the parents, religion, peers, education, technology, media etc. (Hughes et al ,135)
Influence is the power of the leadership, showing the effectively of the leadership. Leadership qualities can be listed as- (Hughes et al,135) - Courageous & bravery - Helpful and strength to the followers - Honest & authentic - Imaginative & creative - Logical & and plans ahead - Responsible & ethical - Dynamic & innovative - Communicative & intelligent - Decisive and win-win problem solver
